Helena McFadzean is an independent curator and collaborator based in Vienna and Berlin, specializing in transdisciplinary approaches to critical knowledge production. Her curatorial work focuses on the close collaboration with artists and practitioners to develop and facilitate formats that tend towards the parafictional, always considering the underlying infrastructure as material. She joined Disintegrator after sensing an urgent shared knowledge gap while collaborating with a group of artists who work with machine learning. Helena’s practical know-how builds on experience in commercial, independent as well as institutional art sectors, collaborations in artistic research and editorial projects. She is currently completing an MA in Critical Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
